West is an album composed of 20 tracks recorded during a journey through the national parks in the southwest of United States in October 2024. At each stage of the journey, I set up my small Eurorack system based on Morphagene and recorded a short piece.
The Virgin river is a tributary of the Colorado river. It was designated Utah's first wild and scenic river in 2009. The reel begins with a field recording of the river. Then a flute plays a melody inspired by « Lever du jour » from « Daphné et Chloė » by Maurice Ravel.
