I was excited to join Colorado Modular Synth Society members OnPrem, MANMADEMADMAN, and Jacob Porter for a night of Modular Electronica last week. Here's part of my set that got into chill / experimental territory - with some "video postcards" along the way. On my hybrid setup I route the Jamstik MIDI guitar to an OXI Coral in Eurorack and the Hydrasynth. A French friend of mine in Germany is a director named Arthury Henry. He approched me about doing the soundtrack to his short film called Detour. It's a dystopian future, sci-fi story. I used a bunch of tape manipulation methods and combinations of effects untis and noise makers to essentially play the soundtrack live with the movie and edit it later. Also, Dutch violinist Karin Van Kooten added meloncholic textures on top giving it a pretty somber feel.
