So at this point, I'm talking to myself. Or--blogging to myself. This site is brand new, TERRIBLY under construction and nobody knows it's live.
I've owned the modularworld.tv domain for a while and just used it for email—basically parked the domain. Now I feel differently. I have stuff to share—it's that simple. One thing I see SORELY missing in our community is music reviews. I see posts daily about a new album on Bandcamp, or I'm getting emails from Bandcamp about another release from someone I love. I want to write reviews about these releases. I want to boost the artist's awareness.I want to promote their artistry—all of it.
Another missing thing is a list of labels...and communities, collectives. So here you go--I've started it. I humbly ask that you contribute and help me build these lists of labels and collectives...send me the links to them--let's make it as rich and complete as possible.
Finally, (maybe just for this post)---I want to create a new paradigm in social media for the modular community. I know we won't all leave Facebook and Instagram for the new Modular World website, but I'm excited about bringing you a new place to talk, share your music, links to your work, all the things we do on the big sites---just with NO ALGORITHM AND BIG DATA collecting crap spamming you with garbage.
There's my mini manifesto in why I'm doing this.
Please bear with me as the site develops and looks better. I am really just soft-launching this to kick myself to keep working on this to full public launch.
