Scientist and AI researcher since 1980, composer, author of many books on AI and robots. Since 2017, I focus on on Emotional Algorithmic Intelligence and Contemporary Electronic Music.

ANGELIA is the contraction of “Angel” and “IA”, the french acronym for Algorithmic Intelligence. The aim of the project is to enhance the creativity of the artist for composing and performing. The music is performed live as a Duo, Angelia and the artist, both playing together on a modular synthesizer setup.

Ethics: ANGELIA is designed to be played by an artist, not to replace him. The project follows copyright laws: only public domain data are used for machine learning. ANGELIA is also environmentally friendly: it runs on a simple tablet with minimal energy consumption and does not require any heavy distant computing or data center.
